FROM PUNTING TRAGIC TO DOTING DAD – What a culture shock!

THE transition from punting tragic to doting dad might be a culture shock for most of us but we wouldn’t swap it for all the winners in the world.

It was something that snuck up and caught me by surprise. There was plenty of time for settling down – or so I believed – in my early working years when going to the races, meeting my mates at the pub and watching the footy were highest on my list of priorities.

BORN LOSER – OR BORN TO BE A PUNTER?

MOST of us remember where we were at a time in our lives when something of global proportions occurred. The older ones will never forget the day that Man Landed on the Moon or the assassination of President Kennedy in Dallas. For others that event might be the tragic car cash in Paris that claimed the life of Princess Diana. Few of us – old or young – will ever forget those horrifying television images of terrorists flying passenger jets into the Twin Towers in New York. And then in more recent times there was the sudden death of another pop icon in Michael Jackson.
