PLENTY OF COMPETITION FOR THE BONUS MONEY AMONG DEBUTANTES

THE acceptances released today by Queensland Racing Limited (QRL) for the first metropolitan two-year-old races of the season this weekend outline the success of the QTIS 600 scheme.

There is plenty of competition for the bonus prizemoney with 22 of the 42 acceptors for the two races being eligible for the additional $30,000 QTIS 600 bonus.

Eagle Farm will host the QTIS 2YO Fillies Plate 1000m and QTIS 2YO Colts and Geldings Plate 1000m on Saturday, October 10 where the starters will vie for $220,000 in prizemoney, QTIS and QTIS 600 bonuses.

The winner of each race will receive $32,000 in prizemoney plus another $21,000 for QTIS-registered horses and another $21,000 for QTIS 600-registered horses. In total, should the winners be eligible for QTIS 600, they will run away with $74,000.

QRL initiated the QTIS 600 scheme during the 2008/09 financial year which allows eligible horses to race for up to $16.845 million in prizemoney, bonuses and restricted races.

The attached list displays the horses eligible for QTIS, QTIS 600 and those purchased from the QTIS 600 sale with their purchase price.
