Raceday Live is a service available to the public through the Queensland Racing website (www.queenslandracing.com.au) on which Stewards will post TAB race meeting information as it happens, directly from the Stewards Room.
Content will include late rider changes, gear changes, changes in riding tactics, and will also include, for most TAB meetings, the content of the Stewards’ report as it is developed.
Chief stipendiary steward Wade Birch said this initiative ensures that the public will get current up-to-date information about the race meeting at the same time as it is being announced on course.
“Hopefully through this service, punters will feel more confident that they have current information on which to base their decisions,” said Mr Birch.
The service, available for all Queensland TAB race meetings, will be available from December 19, 2009.
While all pre-race announcements will be posted, the content of the Stewards’ report after each race will not be available at every meeting. The Stewards’ report will continue to be published in full on the website after the meeting.
