ROAD TO ROCK FIRMS IN BETTING FOR EPSOM HANDICAP
FORM trainer Anthony Cummings’s Road To Rock heads a star-studded field for the $353,500 Group1 Arrowfield Stud Epsom Handicap at Royal Randwick this Saturday.
Road to Rock has firmed in betting since his shock win in last Saturday’s Group 1 George Main Stakes and he was on the fourth line of betting when nominations closed yesterday.

RACING VICTORIA Chief Handicapper, Greg Carpenter, today issued weight penalties to both Mr Clangtastic and Alcopop in the Spring Racing Carnival’s marquee races following their respective victories in feature staying races over the weekend.
Mr Clangtastic was penalised 1kg for both the BMW Caulfield Cup and Emirates Melbourne Cup following his win in the Colin Stephen Quality [G3] over 2400m at Randwick on Saturday. He now has 51kg in both races.

TRAINER Anthony Cummings landed his second Group One winner in the space of a week when Road to Rock scored an upset win in Saturday’s Arrowfield George Main Stakes at Randwick.
Road To Rock, $41, stormed home to beat Stradbroke Handicap winner, Black Piranha, $7, and the three-year-old, Onemorenomore, $5, earning a start in next Saturday’s Group One Epsom at Randwick.

FIRST-UP WIN SHOCKS EVEN TRAINER CHRIS WALLER
THE Chris Waller-trained DANLEIGH scored an overdue Group 1 win in upset fashion in the $500,000 Sportingbet Manikato Stakes under lights on a wet Moonee Valley on Friday night.
In a first-up performance that even shocked Waller, Danleigh, $17, finished strongly to beat a much improved Phelan Ready, $17, with Nicconi, the $4.60 favorite, coming from last for a close third.

PUNTERS are finding it difficult sorting out a favorite for tonight’s Group 1 Manikato Stakes under lights at Moonee Valley with strong early support for Mic Mac and Lucky Secret.
Mic Mac has firmed from $5 to $4.5 with Mark Read’s IASbet.com and now shares favoritism with the David Hayes trained Nicconi while Lucky Secret has firmed from $6.5 to $5.

RACING TO WIN UNDEFEATED OVER RANDWICK MILE - WILL RUN ODDS-ON
The 64th running of the AJC Group 1 George Main Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on Saturday sees the past two winners of the race, Mentality (2008) and Racing to Win (2006) lock horns with this year’s Group 1 Doncaster Handicap quinella in Vision and Power and Black Piranha, the latter going on to collect the Group 1 QTC Stradbroke Handicap in June.
Racing to Win is undefeated over the famous Royal Randwick mile with all three successes notched at Group 1 level.
