MIC MAC WINS BUT WHOBEGOTYOU AGAIN THE EYE-CATCHER

EMERGING star, Mic Mac, continued his meteoric rise with a fighting win in the Group 2 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday but it was Whobegotyou that continued his early dominance of Cox Plate markets.

Mic Mac, $3.10fav, got away with some easy early sectionals in front which proved the difference with Whobegotyou, $4, forced to come from second last to get within a length and a quarter of the winner.

 

CHAMPION BROODMARE FOUND DEAD IN PADDOCK

TRAINER Gai Waterhouse has vowed to ‘put a smile back on the face’ of owner John Singleton after he found champion broodmare, Joie Denise, dead in her paddock on his Strawberry Hills property yesterday.

Waterhouse has the Singleton-owned More Joyous engaged in tomorrow’s (Saturday) Listed Sheraco Stakes at Rosehill, for which she has been heavily backed from $3.60 to $2.90 favoritism.
