IT was pleasing to see that harness racing minnow Marburg still remembers the services that Phil Purser once provided on his then wonderful website Just Racing.
Phil was a pioneer of racing websites in this country and deserves some recognition for what he did – be it an Order of Australia for services to racing (not to mention all those in dire need that he has helped over the years) or Queensland Hall of Fame induction (there are many there far less deserving than him).
The Marburg Harness Racing Club programmed a race in honour of Phil and his lovely wife Denise to recognise their Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was a deserving thanks for what a wonderful man did for the sport for so long.
