‘IT wasn’t a good look seeing the Racing Queensland Operations Manager and Chief Handicapper parting at Eagle Farm on Derby Day for two reasons. One would have thought it was a requirement of RQ hierarchy to be arm’s lengths from the major club and secondly while they were out celebrating Rome was burning with at least one major blunder behind the scenes involving a major handicapping error that forced the late scratching of a favourite at Townsville on Sunday. On the plus side at least the ‘bike rider’ wasn’t on the piss with them.’
