SOME of the big corporate bookies are already betting on the outcome of the next Federal Election – two years away – and who will emerge as Prime Minister.
Labor is currently at $1.58 to win again with the Coaltion (Liberals-Nationals) $3.40 and Any Other (One Nation or a Coalition between the Liberals and One Nation) at $8.
‘Albo’ is $1.91 to be returned as PM with the Liberal’s Angus Taylor at $5 and Pauline Hanson at $6.
Barnaby Joyce, a $15 chance to be the next PM, continues to do himself no favors with the animal loving voters of Australia – and there are millions of them.
One of Australia’s most colourful political figures, Joyce will be remembered for gaining international notoriety in 2015 after he spoke about the Australian Government’s quarantining and seeking the removal – or possible extermination – of pets dogs, Boo and Pistol, brought to Australia by Hollywood stars Johnny Deep and Amber Herd.
The former Deputy Prime Minister was in the dog you-know-what again over an incident that occurred while he was being interviewed on ABC on Monday night when he interrupted the one-on-one to shriek “sit down!”
“Sorry, it’s the dog,” he told the journalist.
The errant pooch then interrupted the proceedings again, with Joyce saying: “I do apologize for this dog, it’s just started to bail up.”
“Don’t worry about the dog, just answer the question,” replied journalist Sarah Ferguson, who was grilling Joyce on his One Nation Party leader Pauline Hanson’s recent meeting with far-right British figurehead Tommy Robinson.
There were plenty of pet-loving Aussies, who heard Barnaby shout loudly – shaddup – at his misbehaving dog that reckon he should follow suit with the ONP leader. And by the way there is apparently no truth to the rumour that his pet pooch is affectionately known as Pauline.
