LGHR received this interesting email which we publish for those who say the QRIC is doing next to nothing about the Ben Currie situation. It comes from a licensee on the Downs who we have confirmed is legitimate but decided not to name even though he did not request this.
‘INTERESTING read on the Ben Currie charade.
I was at Clifford Park on Monday for trackwork when lo and behold in drives Mark Currie with a truckload of horses to be worked.
Appears he’s recovered quickly from his alleged hip operation or knee reconstructions or whatever forced him so suddenly into retirement. It was an incredible recovery in such a short period.
Mark Currie didn’t get far though with a track staff member refusing him permission to unload as he apparently has no track agreement in place, any stabling or license, having allegedly retired.
It appears ‘Boof’ thought he could just rock up and rule the roost.
It was wonderful viewing and great to see the staff member put Mark Currie in his place.
But in all seriousness, where the hell are The QRIC Stewards in dealing with this Ben Currie charade?’
