SOME weeks ago we promised that this web-site would provide a list of chances from what most believe has been the most successful system for selecting the winner of the Melbourne Cup.

QUALIFIERS were VIEWED and ROMAN EMPEROR.

INCLUDE Cup runners that finished 2^nd, 3^rd or 4^th in the Moonee Valley Cup.

ONLY QUALIFIER was KIBBUTZ which finished 4^th.

INCLUDE Cup runners that finished in the first three at their previous Melbourne Cup run.

QUALIFIERS: VIEWED (won last year) and C’EST LA GUERRE (3^rd last year).

INCLUDE the LEXUS STAKES winner.

QUALIFIER was SHOCKING.

EXCLUDE any horse that was unplaced at its last Melbourne Cup run.

EXCLUSIONS include MASTER O’REILLY (4^th last year), NEWPORT (10^th last year).

EXCLUDE any horse that is a three-year-old or seven-year-old and over.

EXCLUSIONS include: MASTER O’REILLY (7), ISTA KAREEM (9), CRIME SCENE (7), MUNSEF (8), ZAVITE (7), NEWPORT (7), GALLION’S REACH (7), SPIN AROUND (9) & CAPECOVER (7).
