RACING at CAULFIELD on Saturday provides an appetizer for the spring with WHOBEGOTYOU and LIGHTS OF HEAVEN clashing in the weight-for-age G2 LAWRENCE STAKES.

WHOBEGOTYOU, proven in the class and heavily backed at $1.9 early, will be conceding a start to the early Cups fancy, LIGHTS OF HEAVEN, the unbeaten Peter Moody-trained mare.

There has been a strong early move for the Moody-trained DO RA MI first-up in the Cockram Stakes for the mares, in which the stable also has the early favorite MID SUMMER MUSIC, winner of the Bletchingly at her last start.

The promising BEL SPRINTER is favorite to take the next step to Black Type success in the Listed National Service Anniversary Stakes while brilliant juvenile SEPOY is odds-on at his return in the Listed Vain and the promising MOSHEEN holds down favoritism at her first start for a new stable in the Listed Quezette.

FOXWEDGE and KARUTA QUEEN are the early fancies for the G3 San Domenico at Rosehill where the track has been down-graded to SLOW. SOUL and MASTER OF DESIGN are the early fancies for the Listed Starlight Stakes.

There have been a couple of good early moves at Eagle Farm for AVAILABILITY and BELLTONE. But punters are growing increasingly wary of betting in Brisbane where form reversals continue to haunt the cards and bad rides by good jockeys are a major worry.

Below is THE FRIDAY FORM-LINE for tomorrow’s racing in three states and the best of luck with your Saturday punting:

CAULFIELD –  Track: DEAD 5 (Drying Weather).

BEST BACKED EARLY: MODULE (R1, $2.25 to $1.8), DO RA MI (R7, $11 to $6.5).

OUR BEST EACH-WAY: GLISSADE (R4, $5). MINNIE MAH ($R8, $5.5).

R1: OPEN HANDICAP 2000m

FAV HEAVILY BACKED EARLY: MODULE, a winner at three starts since a spell for his new stable – the latest over this trip at Flemington – has firmed early from $2.25 to $1.8.

NO LUCK LAST START: MIDNIGHT GLORY, $5.5 to $5, should have nearly won when 4th to DIGGERSANDDEALERS at Caulfield (blocked for a run in the straight).

MULTI HOPES: INDIKATOR, LIGHT VISION, CRABS.

EARLY MAIL: MODULE is creeping up in the weights but it is hard to go past him despite the fact he doesn’t represent much value.

R2: OPEN HANDICAP 1600m:

FAV CHASES HAT-TRICK, SOLID EARLY: TESTACANA remains a solid early favorite at $2.6 after his strong win from CARNERO over the Flemington mile last start.

EARLY SUPPORT FOR MAIN DANGER: CARNERO has firmed from $5 to $4.6 early after getting a nice weight turnaround on TESTACANA when he led and ran 2nd to that horse at Flemington.

SPECKED AT ODDS: LANGRIDGE STREET has been specked around the $13 mark after getting too far back from a bad gate when flying home for 3rd to MASSONI at Caulfield.

MULTI HOPES: DIGGERSANDDEALERS, LAKEDRO, MILOCHELLO.

EARLY MAIL: CARNERO gets his chance to turn tables on TESTACANA at the weights.

R3:LISTED VAIN, Three-Year-Old Colts & Geldings 1100m

STAR YOUNGSTER ALL THE RAGE: SEPOY, the star juvenile of last season, has his first start since winning the Golden Slipper and is all the rage at $1.35. He is unbeaten at two starts fresh, from three at the track and one at the track and distance.

SECOND FAV IN EARLY BETTING: AFRICAN PULSE, a big winner on debut at Sandown then spelled after a close 2nd to JACKPOT QUEEN at Flemington in May is the second elect at $7.

MULTI HOPES: GOLDEN ARCHER, DELAGO’S LAD, GRAND BRITANNIA.

EARLY MAIL: Impossible to go past SEPOY but don’t leave DELAGO’S LAD at $17 out of your multiples.

R4: LISTED QUEZETTE STAKES, Three-Year-Old Fillies 1100m

FAV VERY SOLID EARLY: MOSHEEM has not raced since her game 2nd to SEPOY in the Golden Slipper and at her only other run won on debut at Caulfield. She resumes for a new stable and is solid at $3.5.

SECOND ELECT A SHADE EASY: Sydney filly SATIN SHOES, 1st-up since failing in the Slipper, makes her Melbourne debut. She is unbeaten at two starts fresh and at the trip but has eased early from $4.5 to $5.

SOME EARLY SUPPORT: GLISSADE from the Snowden stable was an impressive debut winner at Rosehill. She was spelled after her Victorian debut when a close 2nd to ONE LAST DANCE in the Diamond Prelude in February. She is $5.5 to $5 early.

MULTI HOPES: METONYMY, FOREVER THE CHILL, CITY OF SONG.

EARLY MAIL: UTMOST respect for the favorite MOSHEEM but going for a bit more value each here in GLISSADE.

R5: LISTED NATIONAL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY STAKES 1200m

EARLY SUPPORT FOR FAV: BEL SPRINTER, an impressive winner at his only three starts, takes the next step into black type company and rises in trip. He has firmed early from $3.5 to $3.3.

COUPLE BACKED EARLY: RIGHTFULLY YOURS, racing for the first time since the Stradbroke, has won five of nine fresh and firmed early from $8.5 to $7.5. PANIPIQUE from the Moody barn is $9 to $7 at his first run since failing in the Gosford Guineas in April.

UNLUCKY LAST START: SWISS ROSE, now with the Moody stable, had no luck in the G3 Healy at Eagle Farm at her last start in June when clear late and 3rd to PINWHEEL. She has been specked around the $11 mark.

MULTI HOPES: STANZOUT, EAGLE FALLS, CHASM, BULLBARS.

EARLY MAIL: GOING for an upset in this with STANZOUT at $13. He goes very well for Craig Williams and is drawn to get a good run.

R6: G2 WFA LAWRENCE STAKES 1400m

FAVORITE INTO ODDS ON EARLY: WHOBEGOTYOU opened at $1.7 with some operators but has firmed with others from $2 to $1.9 early. His first-up run behind MORE JOYOUS in the Futurity last time in was outstanding.

CUPS FANCY MAIN DANGER RESUMING: LIGHTS OF HEAVEN, $2.5 to $2.7 in early betting, looks an outstanding prospect but has not raced since winning the Australasian Oaks at Morphettville in March. She has won 1st-up and at the trip.

THE WILDCARD: ABSOLUTELY, first-up since winning the AJC Oaks in April, goes well fresh and at $11 in early markets has a knockout hope.

MULTI HOPES: TIME MATTERS, CELLARMASTER.

EARLY MAIL: STICKING with the proven weight-for-age performer in WHOBEGOTYOU.

R7: G3 COCKRAM STAKES, Mares 1200m

MOODY HAS STRONG HAND: MID SUMMER MUSIC, odds-on winner of the Bletchingly at her last start, opened favorite but has eased from $4 to $5. This has largely been due to the big early support for stable-mate DO RA MI, $11 to $6.5, 1st-up since failing in the AJC Oaks in April but with a terrific record fresh and at the trip.

GOOD SUPPORT FOR SECOND FAV: PARABLES from the Snowden stable has not raced since winning the Surround at Warwick Farm in March but is $6.5 to $5.5 early. She has a great record fresh and at the trip.

OVERDUE FOR WIN: RUE MAPLE, in the minor placings at her last five starts, the most recent when 2nd to MID SUMMER MISIC in the Bletchingly, is overdue for a win and has been $9 to $8.5 early.

MULTI HOPES: SOUTHERN SPEED, STAR OF GISELLE, PINKER PINKER.

EARLY MAIL: ALWAYS had a big opinion of PARABLES but she didn’t have a lot of luck in the autumn and can go well fresh.

R8: FILLIES & MARES 1400m

FAV WELL BACKED, NO LUCK LAST START: BIANCON ROSE won three on end then had a wide trip when 3rd to PROCIDA at Caulfield last start. She has firmed from $3.8 to $3.4 early.

GOOD AT TWO RUNS BACK: MINNIE MAH was not helped by a wide draw second-up when 2nd to PROCIDA at Caulfield and looks ready to win. She is solid at $5.5 early.

SOME EARLY SUPPORT: PLATINUM PASSION, 1st-up since May, has firmed from $8 to $7. WINGED CHARM, no luck at Flemington last Saturday, is $11 to$9. RUBINACCI is 1st-up but goes well fresh and has been an early firmer from $26 to $17.

MULTI HOPES: LITTLE TYCOON, GOSSIP GIRL, MOAMA.

EARLY MAIL: MINNIE MAH, peaks for this, drawn to get a good run and looked the each-way value.

ROSEHILL – TRACK: DOWN-GRADED TO SLOW 6.

BEST BACKED EARLY: KING’S PACT (R1, $3.5 to $2.8) and FORETELLER (R2, $2.3 to $2).

OUR BEST EACH-WAY BETS: JALI (R4, $6) and BREAK CARD (R8, $8).

R1:THREE-YEAR-OLD ONE METRO WIN 1400m

GOOD EARLY GO FOR FAV: KING’S PACT didn’t have a lot of luck first-up when charging late for 3rd to EXTRACEED at Rosehill. He has firmed early from $3.5 to $2.8.

STRONG BACKING FOR SECOND ELECT: DARCI BE GOOD, 1st-up since winning in the heavy in listed Grade at Randwick in April, is $4.2 to $3.6 early.

SOME EARLY SUPPORT: AMBIDEXTER, a nicely-bred colt that has had little luck in two starts to date, has firmed early from $5 to $4.5.

MULTI HOPES: DAYMO, STRIKE THE STARS.

EARLY MAIL: DON’T like the race but following the money trail to KING’S PACT.

R2: PREMIER’S CUP PRELUDE 1800m

EARLY SUPPORT FOR FAV: FORETELLER, an impressive winner in the slow first-up at Rosehill, has firmed early from $2.3 to $2. But for the woeful record that favorites have from the Waller stable, he looks a good thing.

WALLER HAS TWO OTHERS IN BETTING: THE VERMINATOR, $4.2 to $4.8 and BELLAGIO WYNN, $7.5 to $7, give the top stable a strong hand in this race. The latter was a very big run first-up when 3rd to FORETELLER and the extra trip suits.

MULTI HOPES: BRAVE THE WAY, DELAGO STAR.

EARLY MAIL: DON’T be surprised if BELLAGIO WYNN comes out and upsets his better fancied stable-mate, FORETELLER. It’s par for the course for the bigger stables in Sydney with the lesser fancied runners saluting these days.

R3: BENCHMARK 80 1200m

NEW FAVORITE AFTER EARLY SUPPORT: ADROITLY appreciated the step up in trip and ploughed through the heavy to win last start at Warwick Farm. He opened favorite at $2.9 but is out to $3.3 following strong support for the Waller-trained THUMBTACKS which charged home late for 2nd to stable-mate BRAROAN at Rosehill. He has firmed early from $4.4 to $3.

EYE-CATCHER LAST START: SHAWNEE GIRL tends to miss the start but got home strongly to run 2nd to ESSENCE OF SUCCESS at Warwick Farm. She is $6.5 to $8.5 early.

MULTI HOPES: THE WARRIOR WOMAN (stable-mate of favorite), GRAND IMIPRESSION.

EARLY MAIL: STICKING with ADROITLY despite the early drift in betting.

R4: FILLIES & MARES B80 1400m

FAVORITE WELL FANCIED EARLY: The promising SWEETEST MELODY, a first-up winner in the wet at Rosehill, has firmed early from $3.6 to $3.3. She has won 2nd-up and has good stats and the track and trip.

SOME EARLY SUPPORT: DAILIKA, fitter for two runs since a spell and a good last start 2nd to NICE AND NEAT at Rosehill, has firmed from $10 to $8. She has a good record at the track and distance.

MULTI HOPES: TALAPEGA, JALI,  DELZERA.

EARLY MAIL: LIKED the effort of JALI when closing late behind SWEETEST MELODY at Rosehill. She looks a nice each-way hope at $6.

R5: G3 SAN DOMENICO STAKES, Three-Year-Old 1100m

GOOD EARLY SUPPORT FOR FAV: FOXWEDGE, first-up since failing in the Golden Slipper, has won two recent trials and is an early firmer from $3.5 to $2.1. He is unbeaten at the track, the distance and two starts first-up.

FIRST START SINCE SLIPPER: KARUTA QUEEN, the Magic Millions winner, resumes since failing in the Golden Slipper and is $3.5 to $3.7 early. Has trialed well and is unbeaten at the track and distance and first-up.

SOME EARLY SUPPORT: HOLLYWEIRD, 1st-up since February, has firmed from $10 to $7 early. The Gerald Ryan-trained filly won at her only start at the track and distance.

MULTI HOPES: ANISE, FONTELINA, DEFIANT DAME.

EARLY MAIL: TIPPING KARUTA QUEEN to reproduce her Magic Millions winning form here.

R6: LISTED STARLIGHT STAKES 1100m

SUPPORT FOR FAVORITE FIRST-UP: MANY of these are resuming and one of those is SOUL which has firmed from $4.6 to $4 at her first run since the spring. She is a winner first-up.

SECOND FAV VERY GOOD 1ST-UP: MASTER OF DESIGN, $4.6, flew late at his first start since late 2010 to win at Rosehill from UNANIMOUSLY. He is unbeaten at the track and distance and second-up.

COUPLE SPECKED EARLY: PRESSDAY, 1st-up $6 to $5.5 and DORF COMMAND $9.5 to $8.

MULTI HOPES: ATOMIC FORCE, SEE THE WORLD.

EARLY MAIL: STAYING with MASTER OF DESIGN, very impressive when resuming.

R7: BENCHMARK 85 1200m

SECOND FAVORITE SCRATCHED: THE decision to start SEE THE WORLD in the STARLIGHT has seen LIONCUB firm from $3.2 to $2.5 and SEA LORD from $6 to $4 first-up.

THE WILDCARD: AL’S GOLD, fitter for two runs from a spell, has top stats over the track and distance and is $17 to $13 early.

MULTI HOPES: RASPERRIES, GAI’S CHIOCE, MR COOL CAT, KEY WEST.

EARLY MAIL: DON’T like the race but SEA LORD looks to have a class edge first-up and has won a recent trial.

R8: BENCHMARK 90 1500m

BIG EARLY GO FOR THE FAV: ALTIUIS, a strong last start winner at this track and distance, has firmed early from $3.2 to $2.5.

SECOND FAV A SHADE EASY: The good support for ALTIUS has seen FUTURE SOLUTION, a last start winner at the track and distance, ease early from $4 to $5.

SOME SPECKING: STORM KITE, $10 to $8 early, failed last start but went well enough at his previous runs to figure here.

MULTI HOPES: BREAK CARD, DAINTREE ROAD, GALIZANI.

EARLY MAIL: BREAK CARD has been racing well and finishing just off the placings in good enough company to test these at $8.

EAGLE FARM – TRACK: GOOD 3.

BEST BACKED EARLY: AVAILABILITY (R3, $4 to $2.8) and BELLTONE (R8, $3 to $2.5).

OUR BEST EACH-WAY BETS: ELEVEN OYSTERS (R5, $7.5) and SEVENTH HEART (R7, $8).

R1: FILLIES & MARES CLASS 6 1200m

FAVORITES EASY EARLY: CATASHEE, a 1st-up mid-week winner at Doomben, has eased to $5.5 after opening favorite at $4.4. JUST BEEN LUCKY, a luckless 1st-up 7th to CATASHEE at Doomben, is $5 to $6 early.

IMPRESSIVE WINNER FIRST-UP: ALADAH, $6 to $7, dictated in front when an impressive 1st-up Doomben winner for the ‘swab sensitive’ Darryl Hansen stable.

BACKED AT ODDS: SISTER HAVANA, well backed when 6th to ALADAH at Doomben, has again firmed early – this time from $13 to $8.

MULTI HOPES: SWEEPSTAKING, ELIMBARI, HEART TO FEAR. CHASTE.

EARLY MAIL: LIKED the first-up run of HEART TO FEAR. Good value at $8 with jockey Larry Cassidy certain to be seen at his best.

R2: FILLIES & MARES NO METRO WIN 1500m

ONLY TWO UNDER DOUBLE FIGURE ODDS: MISS CUTIE, a winner here over this trip by six lengths, caught the eye last start flashing home for 2nd to BOOTOOLOO at Doomben and remains solid at $2.6 early.

CARRY ME BABYdid some work early and looked very good when an Eagle Farm winner from a wide alley last start. She has been $3.6 to $3.8 early.

MULTI HOPES: SCARLET JO, CANDICE, YAMARJI.

EARLY MAIL: HARD not to have caught the last start closing effort of MISS CUTIE.

R3: THREE-YEAR-OLD 1000m

BEST EARLY GO IN THIS: AVAILABILITY, an impressive debut winner at Doomben for the Heathcote stable, has firmed early from $4 to $2.8 – the best go of the early Fixed Odds on Brisbane racing.

TWO AT SAFE ODDS: AQUATORIAL, $3.5 to $4.8, is unbeaten at two runs since a spell. EXCAPISHE ran favorite when 3rd to AQUATORIAL at Doomben at only his second start.

MULTI HOPES: EASY RUNNING ($6 to $5), TOWNIE (big watch on debut), MARCH TO VICTORY.

EARLY MAIL: BIG wraps on AVAILABILITY and prepared to follow the money trail.

R4: OPEN 1000m

FAVORITE IS SOLID: TRUSTED PARTNER, winner of the Lightning over this track and distance when he led, is the solid early favorite at $3.8.

SECOND FAVORITE HAS SPEED: MONASHEE DANCER, $5, led when 3rd to Frosty at Doomben last start. He has a very good record at the track and distance.

CAPABLE OF IMPROVEMENT: CARRY THE CLUBS, $7.5, has been freshened since failing in the G3 Healy and had no luck in the Lightning before that.

MULTI HOPES: CAT EYES, CARRY TO FORTUNE, BAZZOOKA.

EARLY MAIL: TRUSTED PARTNER looks a big hope in this on Lightning win and Cassidy sure to ride him well.

R5: CLASS 6, Set Weights 2125m

FAVORITE VERY SOLID: SIMMERING has looked most impressive at two runs since stepping up in trip and remains solid at $2.2 after winning over a similar trip here when odds on last start.

EYE-CATCHER LAST START: ELEVEN OYSTERS charged home when 2nd to LOVINGTHELIMELIGHT at this track last start. The Hellyer claim and a little speed on could help him to trouble the favorite. He is $9 to $7.5 early.

BACKED AT ODDS: DAAD’S OVERTIME, now with the Kelly stable, raced formerly with Kris Lees and was a Newcastle winner two back. He has firmed early from $21 to $16.

MULTI HOPES: SUNSHINE ANGEL, KING OF THE NILE, DIAGO.

EARLY MAIL: NOT under-estimating SIMMERING but prefer the each-way value ELEVEN OYSTERS.

R6: BENCHMARK 85 1820m

NO LUCK LAST START: SAM’S TOWN had no luck in the straight when 6th to DIAGO at Eagle Farm last start and has firmed early from $8 to $6.

MULTI HOPES: XANTHOS, PATMOSS, YUMMY.

EARLY MAIL: SAM’S TOWN had no luck last start and is ready to win.

R7: CLASS 6, Colts, Horses & Geldings 1200m

FAV FITTER FOR THIS: SWAY TO GO had his first run for almost two months and got tired late when 4th to JOINT CHIEFS over this track and distance. He is solid at $4.2.

FORGET HE RAN LAST START: Slipped at start and should have been declared a non-runner when fancied in Cleveland Bay in Townsville. In this on Ipswich and Mackay wins at previous two and kept safe at $6.

NO LUCK LAST START: SEVENTH HEART was off the track all the way when 8th to JOINT CHIEFS at this track and distance last start. He gets in well with the claim here and is drawn better at $8.

MULTI HOPES: BRIGADOON JACK ($8 to $7), STEEL DRAGON, HANDSUPFORDETROIT (no luck last start).

EARLY MAIL: SEVENTH HEART looks a nice each-way hope – had little luck last start.

R8: NO METRO WIN, Colts, Horses & Geldings 1400m

BIG GO FOR FAVORITE: BELLTONE, collared on the line by the promising SOLZHENITSYN over this track and distance last start, has been a big go early from $3 to $2.5. He won his previous three starts for the Wood stable.

ONLY OTHER RUNNER UNDER DOUBLE FIGURE ODDS: RIVER LAD, $5 to $4.8, worked out wide when 3rd to CHANDRA at Eagle Farm last start.

NO LUCK LAST START: SIDE TO SIDE, $10, was held up in the straight when an eye-catching 3rd to BOOTOOLOO at Doomben last start. Cassidy has to overcome a wide draw.

MULTI HOPES: BENEFACTION, if it secures a start, FLYING ALONG, MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO.

EARLY MAIL: RIVER LAD ran a huge race last start and looks hard to beat.
